Paint-a-Learn Event
Have you always wanted to learn how to paint but felt too intimidated to begin? Now is
your opportunity to discover the joy of painting in a fun, supportive environment with
professional artist and teacher Juan Peña.
Join us for a special “Paint-a-Learn” event benefiting the Colfax Seventh-day Adventist
Church. Whether you are a complete beginner or simply looking to grow your artistic skills, this hands-on experience will inspire your creativity and build your confidence.
During this interactive workshop, Juan Peña will teach his unique approach to color mixing using a remarkably simple palette of just three colors plus white. Juan has successfully used this limited palette in watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting since 1968. His proven principles can also be applied to many other artistic mediums, making this class valuable for artists of all levels.
Juan’s artistic methods are also featured in his book, “The Miracle Three.” Additional

10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Breaks, snacks, and beverages will be provided throughout the session.
All painting supplies are included.
- Adults will paint with acrylics on
11 x 14 canvas board.
- Children ages 8 and older will paint with poster paints on paper.
Participants are asked to bring:
- An old long-sleeved shirt
- Two clean empty #10 cans
Friendly volunteers will be available throughout the event to provide assistance and
encouragement.
